1. Mechanical Design & CAD Development

Conceptual Transition: Conversion of ideas, sketches, and anatomical scans into 3D geometry.

Manufacturing Design: Advanced design for manufacturing, DFM, and mesh-to-parametric workflows.

Engagement & Billing Frameworks

I offer three distinct Statement of Work tiers, allowing you to select the level of scope flexibility and budget predictability your program requires.

Tier 1: Agile Sprint Model

Best For: Short-term validation, binary technical questions, and rapid proof-of-concept testing.

Structure: A flat-fee, short-duration sprint, typically 5–10 business days, focused on reaching a singular, predetermined technical destination.

Scope Management: Rigid. The technical scope is locked at launch to maintain maximum momentum. There are no mid-sprint changes or revisions. Discovering that an idea is unviable is treated as a successful R&D learning loop.

Tier 2: Evolving Milestone Model

Best For: Multi-month product development, sequential corporate gates, or medical device development pipelines.

Structure: A comprehensive R&D roadmap divided into distinct, sequential phase gates.

Scope Management: Controlled progression. Downstream phases are intentionally left open to evolve based on the physical data discovered in preceding phases. Work proceeds through sequential gate reviews. Once a phase is completed, the next phase is technically adjusted, re-budgeted, and launched through a fresh addendum.

Tier 3: Continuous Hourly Retainer Pool

Best For: Ongoing engineering advisory, agile debugging, or dynamic on-call R&D troubleshooting.

Structure: Continuous, flexible access to prototyping expertise, firmware coding, fabrication support, and diagnostic workflows.

Scope Management: Fluid. There is no fixed deliverables list or rigid timeline. You direct my hours dynamically through regular communication channels such as Slack, email, phone, or video calls to address engineering hurdles as they appear.
